Editing Ability

Before I had started the course I had experienced photoshop from previously doing photography at GCSE. I also had a little experience of premier from doing media at GCSE although i do not know which version. I have more experience with photoshop than i do with video editing as I have photoshop on my mac at home.

Now I have began the course I feel much more comfortable with Premier Pro as I have had a little play with the software. I understand where the basic tools are and are able to add transitions, audio and effects to clips when put together. I still one have a basic understand and do not know the software in depth, however I am learning more and more as I go along especially having plenty of people to help.

I would like to learn the program more in depth with step by step guides as I could take notes. Once i have built on my basic knowledge then it would be easier for me to make my video presentation and movie mash up as I have no idea how to create either or what program I am supposed to be using. I would also love to learn how to cut people out and put them in other clips and overlay if that is possible or other advanced and standard techniques in order to do my media hero presentation and movie mash up.

Lastly by the end of the course I would like to know both photoshop, premier pro and adobe after effects as I would really like to make my own short films and add in animation or transitions. The best way for me to learn is a step by step tutorial where I am shown what to click and do as I can make notes and always refer back to the notes I have made, this also gives me a better understanding of what I am doing.

I would also love to learn a lot more before my presentation and mash up as I do not feel as comfortable with premier pro.

This link is to a youtuber's website which is what I would like to do. He makes mini movies and uses adobe after effects to edit them and add animation. He works at disney but him and his son make short youtube clips in there spare time. This is what inspired me to want to learn how to fully use and understand adobe after effects.

These images also really inspire me to use premier pro and adobe after effects as I would love to create this, especially if i make short films.
