The College Course Reflection

This College course has so far inspired me all the more to get a career out in the media industry. I have become even more dedicated and engaged in this course as I am really enjoying it and can not way for more projects to come. I have experienced new things such as video editing and extended Photoshop techniques which allowed me to build upon the basic knowledge that I already had.

So far the class has made a movie mashup, a media heroes project which includes researching, my own video entry and 2 essays about my research of my media hero. We have also created a carbon copy of a scene from a film, made two creative CV's, expanded our video editing skills to mashup a few hover-boarding clips from the Adobe website and finally created a 5 year plan of where we wish to be in the future. Already we have created a lot of new and interested projects just from a first few weeks of college. I achieved a Merit on Task 1 of my media heroes project which I was very pleased with after not long starting the course and I believe that I have also built on my confidence throughout the course already.

I am feeling very happy about the course so far as not only I really enjoy the work that we are set but I have also settled in with the class and surroundings very well by making plenty of new friends which is a big change for me as I do not live in the local area.

I have learnt new design and creative skills through Richards class on a Friday while at the same time learning how to write my own blogs. I have not written a blog before I started this course but I have picked it up quite quickly due to writing my professional development through Ross's class and blogs about new techniques in Richard's class.

Overall, I believe that I have made a very positive start into this course after achieving a very good grade on task 1 of my media heroes project and settling in very nicely.
