What is a requirement?
As shown below, a requirement, is 'a thing that is needed or wanted' for example, if I was to film with a drone for advertising purposes, the requirements to be able to do this would be to have the right documents to assess the area and make sure that no one will be harmed or in frame when filming. Another example of requirements would be if I was baking a cake, I would need the right ingredients to be able to get the cake as the final outcome.
The requirements can vary between the project you are creating but for my online shop and social media pages, these are the requirements that I would need to think about for the products to be a success:
To know your target audience, to know what they want and are looking for in a website
To know the uses of the website. What type of website will this be? what will it be used for? you need to contain the exact parts of the website that the customer wants and is asking for. For example, categories so they can see clear headings of what they want like gift sets, bundles, bath bombs, soaps etc. so they can get straight to where they want to be
An editing program
Somewhere to store your web files
social media pages that link to web page so the social media customers have somewhere to go to buy products
Address where your website can be found
email so they can contact about enquiries
Hosting plan
professional images and videos so the audience can see exactly what they are buying
the social media pages need to show events and where I am going to be on my boot fair stalls
and the list goes on. These were only some of the things in which I would to know and produce, to be able to make the business successful.
What pre production paper would I need for my creative media project?
Risk assessment, contingency plan, problem sheet, pro forma, production schedule, reflective journal.
What else would I need to think about to be able to make my project a success?
The product is required to be professional and simplistic for the targeted audience to understand
The product is required to be visually stunning so the audience to not lose focus half way through. They need to feel that the product is eye-catching so they are wanting to purchase it
The product needs to be suited for this age group meaning, no strong language or nudity involved. Although young children and adults are interested in buying the products, they are looking for relaxation, not adult themed products. The target audience is mainly families.
I needs to use research methods and sources to inform ideas of a creative media production, for example looking into similar products online and in person.
I need to meet these requirements of a creative media production
The product needs to interpret research to develop my ideas effectively when communicating with the targeted audience
It needs to apply practical skills, knowledge and understanding to complete a creative media production within an agreed timeframe. (production schedule will help)
If I fail to produce the right documents, planning and research, then the final products will not be successful. The social media sites and online shop will not meet the audience's satisfaction and they will not be interested.
